ATS Challenge #1: Can You Create An SVM Machine Learning Indicator/Strategy for NT8?
I'm giving away two months free for the first person/group/team to send me a SVM-based indicator in Ninjascript.
Important: There is no guarantee that our strategies will have the same performance in the future. We use backtests to compare historical strategy performance. Backtests are based on historical data, not real-time data so the results we share are hypothetical, not real. There are no guarantees that this performance will continue in the future. Trading futures is extremely risky. If you trade futures live, be prepared to lose your entire account. We recommend using our strategies in simulated trading until you/we find the holy grail of trade strategy.
As a quick reminder, our goal is to find the holy grail of automated trade strategy.
We haven’t found the holy grail yet, but we get closer with every strategy. Click here for the most recent performance chart.

We’ve narrowed the hunt to two paths for the summer:
The “high win rate” path and the
The high correlation path (AI friendly)
The former has already shown promise and I’ll be introducing a template to help create a high win rate out of any strategy on June 15; the latter is more theoretical at the moment, but the goal is to conceive it with this post.
I know nothing about AI or programming, so the true goal of this post is to inspire one of you to create an AI indicator for NT8.
The person/group/team that can create the indicator in NT8 using SVM will receive—in addition to my unyielding gratitude—two months free added to your subscription. Your response can be in the form of an email directly to me, comments below or the creation of a new thread in Chat. Good luck!
AI Wishlist:A Dynamic Classification & Regression Agent
As I’ve alluded to in an earlier post, I believe correlations, and by extension convergence and divergence, are at the heart of any true market forecasting system. There are two reasons that I’m particularly hopeful about the use of correlations:
they provide a natural anchor for any market
they are based on the market itself; you have AI learning AI
Naturally ChatGPT seemed the best source to ask about the best way to track/hunt AI like the Market. This was the answer:
The concept of artificial intelligence (AI) tracking itself can be interpreted in a couple of ways. Here are two possible interpretations and corresponding approaches:
Self-Monitoring and Logging: AI systems can track their own performance, behavior, and internal processes by implementing self-monitoring and logging mechanisms. These mechanisms allow the AI to gather data about its own operations, which can be useful for debugging, performance analysis, and improvement. This can involve logging events, errors, or important decision points during the AI's execution. By tracking and analyzing this information, developers and researchers can gain insights into the AI's functioning and identify areas for optimization or enhancement.
Self-Referential Learning: Another interpretation is that AI can track and learn from its own progress and experiences. This idea relates to techniques such as self-supervised learning or reinforcement learning, where an AI system can leverage its own actions and outcomes to improve its performance. For example, an AI agent in a game environment can track its own behavior, evaluate the consequences of its actions, and learn from the resulting rewards or penalties. This iterative learning process enables the AI to enhance its decision-making abilities over time.
In sum, it tells us that in order to track itself, AI requires a program that is expert at classifying and regressing large amounts of data. This is a good start, but I need more. I need some very specific instructions related to our hunt.
99% of working with ChatGPT is knowing how to ask the right question. The response to most of my questions started with: “As AI I cannot predict the market….”
I finally hit on the right way to ask the question and for once it gave me a very revealing answer. Note: it took about 5 minutes for Chat GPT to answer this question — it was as if the words were hard to write. Did I just break this thing? Here’s the exact question and the answer that followed:
